The Connemara pony is one of Ireland’s oldest native breeds renowned for its versatility, athleticism and disposition. In recognition of the breed, the Connemara Pony Breeders Society would like to award the highest placed Connemara ponies competing at Novice and Pre-Novice levels €150 and €100 respectively, at the end of the 2012 eventing season. Ludo Philippaerts has announced the creation of a Belgian fund that will invest in top horses. The fund will according to horses.nl be named BSF (Belgisch Springpaarden Fonds), and at first introduce twelve horses between five and nine years old. The twelve horses are all owned preliminary by Philippaerts.
