From a field of 121 jumpers representing a record 27 nations at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, the German team stood supreme Tuesday in the Jumping World Championships presented by Rolex. In its second year, the Tredstep Junior Rider Series saw 67 horse/rider combinations take part in the 12 leg series which started in Ballindenisk in March, culminating in the final at Kilmanahan on 26 September. With seeming ease, Michael Jung (GER) on La Biosthetique-Sam secured his individual gold medal in Sunday’s final show-jumping phase of the Eventing World Championships presented by Reem Acra. Despite Jung’s stellar performance, the German team did not make the podium.
