With the Dublin Horse Show and National Championships concluded peoples attentions are now focused firmly on the autumn season and there is plenty going on to whet the appetite at Ravensdale Lodge. The centres seven – week autumn horse league commenced last Wednesday 11th August and runs every Wednesday on their grass arenas until Wednesday 22nd September. The inaugural running of The Camphire International Horse Trials will take place over 3 days from the 27 to 29 August 2010. CIC** and CIC* riders of grass roots to Olympic standard will take part in Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross Country. This new International fixture has attracted over 150 competitors from all over Ireland including riders representing Finland, Sweden, Germany, Italy and the UK. GER O’NEILL CROWNED SPEED CHAMPION Ger O’Neill declared his win in this afternoon’s National Speed Championships as his best achievement to date when taking an extremely fast class with Vincent Digby’s I Caeser. A multiple winner on the National and Regional Grand Prix circuits, O’Neill currently leads the Munster Grand Prix League, and won today’s prestigious Final breaking the beam in a time of 60.27.
